Split Pea And Ham Soup

INGREDIENTS
2 c. cubed fully cooked ham
1 1/2 c. dry split peas
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery with leaves
1 c. shredded carrot
2 Tbs. snipped fresh parsley
1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 c. chicken broth
2 c. water
DIRECTIONS
In a crockpot combine all ingredients. Cover; cook on low for 10-12 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Just before serving use a potato masher to mash peas in soup. Serve.
