Spaghetti Sauce With Turkey

INGREDIENTS
6 ounces tomato paste
16 ounces stewed tomatoes
8 ounces tomato sauce
28 ounces tomatoes, canned, drained
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
1/8 teaspoon dried leaf basil
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 pound turkey breast, cooked and diced
1/2 pound turkey Italian sausage, cooked, sliced
2 onions, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
Serves 10 to 12. May be frozen.

very good taste to it. Mine ran a little thin, might have been because I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned (I will still do this again though)and I used a whole bag of italian seasoning for slow cooked chicken, which worked out really well. |
