Macaroni and Cheese

INGREDIENTS
3 cups cooked macaroni
1 Tbs butter or margarine, melted
2 cups evaporated milk
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
DIRECTIONS
Add ingredients to stoneware. Cook on High for 2 to 3 hours, stirring twice.

You can go either way - pre cook the noodles or throw them in hard.
I would imagine they get mushy if you pre cook them. |

Can anyone tell me why pasta has to be cooked before going into the slow cooker? |

Maybe a little less onion and salt. I used whole wheat elbow macaroni-I think it would've tasted better with the white noodles personally. I also used half mozza and half cheddar already shredded-it was good. |
