Lasagna

INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground round or chuck
1 package lasagna noodles
1 teaspoon garlic powder
12 ounces ricotta or cottage cheese
12 ounces tomato paste
12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
8 ounces smoked sausage, diced
1/2 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon parsley
2 teaspoons sugar
DIRECTIONS
Break noodles into one inch pieces and cook in boiling salted water until slightly tender. Drain. Brown ground beef, onion, and sausage in a frying pan. Grease slow cooker or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Pour all ingredients into the slow cooker and mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.

I agree, a lot of prep time. The lasagna turned out fine could use a little tomato sauce and maybe oregano or seasoning. |

alot of preparation involved which defeats the whole easy crockpot idea and i would suggest adding in sauce at the end because it came out very dry. i ended up doing a side pot of ragu before serving |
