INGREDIENTS
3 16 oz cans dark kidney beans, drained
2 16 oz cans tomatoes with juice (cut up)
2 lbs. ground beef, browned, drained
1 large onion, chopped
3 celery stalks, diced
1 green pepper, seeded, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
6 Tablespoons chili powder (toasted - see below)
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, chopped
1 cup of black coffee

DIRECTIONS
Place chili powder in a dry saute pan and turn the stove on to medium heat. stir it around for a few minutes until you can smell the difference.
Put all of the ingredients in your crock pot. Set on low for 8-10 hrs, or high 5 hours.

I made this with fresh instead of canned, and my own mix of chili seasonings. It's the best I've ever made.
