Chicken Stew Mexican Style

INGREDIENTS
2 lbs skinless boneless chicken breasts cut into 1 1/2' pieces
4 med russet potatoes, peeled and cut very small
1 (15 oz) can mild salsa
1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies
1 (1 1/4 oz) pkg taco seasoning mix
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
DIRECTIONS
Mix all ingredients together in crockpot, cook 7-9 hours on low. Serve with warm flour tortillas.

Well, This recipe sounds good but when I made it this morning it looked a little bland so I added 2 onions, half a head of celery a dash a thyme and a half cup of cilantro. I'll let you all know how it is tonight. Cross your fingers! So far it looks pretty good. |

Instead of the taco seasoning, I used fajita thinking it would give the stew more punch...not so. And the mild salsa did nothing for the meal either. I later added garlic salt, black pepper, chili powder, and a little mayple syrup. Without those last ingredients, this meal is rather bland! |
