Disappointing! I was looking for a recipe with some zip, saw the title of this recipe, and went by the previous reviews. Had I been thinking, I would have passed this over. What is 'Cantonese' about this recipe? NOTHING! It's a basic BBQ recipe...nothing more. There was so much water in the pork, that when the sauce cooked, it was like red water, with little flavor (And that was after I 'browned' the meat in the skillet!) In order to make the leftovers palatable, I created a sauce using tomato paste, more brown sugar, vinegar, sauted minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 tsp. of ground red pepper. I heated this with the leftovers, then topped everything with fresh chives. It added just enough zip to make this dish interesting....
