2 pounds of lean hamburger
2 eggs
2 slices bread, in small cubes
Salt and pepper
1 small onion, chopped

Beat eggs - add bread cubes. Add enough milk to moisten all. Add hamburger....squish all together with your hands. Season to taste. Place in slow cooker/Crock Pot....shape to fit, flatten. Pour catsup on top (enough to cover completely) Crock on low all day 8 - 12 hours.
Notes: I've also used crushed crackers instead of bread, and salsa instead of the ketchup.

With only 1/2 lb. of meat, you'll probably want to use just one egg.

I've never made a successful meatloaf in the oven. When I made this, my husband and I loved it, and I've been making it for a couple of years now regularly. Our children all eat it, and extended family members love it too.

This was the most bland meatloaf I've ever made. I had to put hot sauce on top to get it down! To spice it up, use seasoned stuffing mix in place of the bread, more onion, garlic powder and worchestshire sauce -- which I'll do if I ever make this one again!

Pretty good stuff! I've made this three times now, once with turkey instead of ground beef, always using crackers instead of bread. I've tried mixing in different spices as well (i.e., Old El Paso "taco spice" packages) to add some more flavour. Make it on a Sunday night and you have enough for at least four lunches!

It was good. the only thing is that the bread should be in very tiny pieces instead small cubes.

The meatloaf was very good. I added some fresh garlic and worchestshire sauce as well. Added the potatoes and carrots on the bottom but they were not good. My 3 year old ate 3 helpings. :)

I like simple meatloaf, sometimes people are so busy, to put together a bunch of ingredients to have a meal. I like this meatloaf. I put potatoes and carrots at the bottom of the slow cooker then add the meat about, 20-30 min when the meat is done I put cheese on top of it yummy. Thanks for this recipe.
