Mix BBQ sauce with all ingredients listed under it. Place chicken in crockpot. Pour sauce over all. Cook slowly in crockpot about 4-6 hours. Serve with baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw. NOTE: Since this didn't specify whether it should be on high or low, the first time I cooked on high for 5 hours. The chicken was dry as dirt :( The 2nd time, I cooked it on low for 4 1/2 hours and it was perfect.

I've made this twice, and while the flavor is good and we liked it, the sauce basically liquefies in there - so it doesn't stick to the meat. We'd like the saucy to be "stickier." Any tips/tricks? |

Excellent recipe! I made this a few weeks ago for my family and now it is the only BBQ recipe they want! Just make sure to cook it on the LOW setting. |

This was excellent. I haven't done much slow cooker cooking, and this was so easy and so good i'm going to make it again very soon. i used sweet baby rays, half the vinegar, and left out the mesquite seasoning. and, i used thighs and drumsticks with bone and skin. |

I've made this once before and making it again today. Best thing to do is use a good BBQ sauce as a base, I'm using Sweet Baby Ray;s this time around. Used KC Masterpiece original the first time. The chicken was just falling apart and so delicious. Best thing I did was save the leftover BBQ sauce back into the bottle for future use. Soooo good. |

I used Jack Daniels Original BBQ. Made it as the receipe directed. It's an instant family favorite. Gave the receipe to my sister-in-law and her family loved it also. Agree with others that you wouldn't want to leave it in past 4.5/5 hours. |

Remarkable good, given the lightning-quick preparation. I used a mere third of the vinegar called for by the recipe. Did not use mesquite; rather, I added a sprinkling of Cajun seasoning. Cooked on low for just shy of six hours. Tender and perfect--even better the next day, out of the fridge. |

I only added a splash of vinegar, as suggested by some other reviewers, and it turned out amazing! I used KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. I used breast meat and cooked on low for 4.5 hours. The chicken was moist and delicious. |

Excellent and the family loves it. Cook for about 4-5 hours on low. Don't cook too long or the chicken gets dry. |

DELICIOUS! Like previous reviewers I went light on the vinegar and it was perfect. I used chicken thighs and would not want to cook over the recommended 4.5 hours, it was just starting to get dry. My kids went crazy for it and I would serve it to company. A keeper! |

I cooked this on low for 4 hours and the chicken was fairly dry. Also, too much vinegar... Use a smaller amount. |

This was GREAT!! I used chicken thighs and cooked on low for about 4.5-5 hrs, I only put a cap full of vinegar and a handful of brown sugar a couple of shakes of garlic powder and a couple of shakes of ground red pepper. Both my husband and our guest said they loved it! |
