Baked Beans I

INGREDIENTS
1 pound dried small white beans -- rinsed
4 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 onion -- chopped
1/4 pound salt pork -- cut into 1" cubes
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
In slow-cooker, combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW 13 to 14 hours, stirring occasionally, if possible.

not very good, at 12 hours the beans were flavorful but still a bit hard, 2 hours longer and the flavor was lost. Perhaps pre boil the beans before slow cooking. |
