INGREDIENTS
1 lb. dried black beans (or turtle beans)
16 oz. jar of salsa (your favorite kind)

DIRECTIONS
Rinse black beans, removing any stones or foreign objects. Cover with water, soak all night. Drain beans and place in crockpot with salsa. Add enough water to just cover beans. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.

This recipe was great! It worked especially well, I think, with the fairly spicy salsa that we picked. This was my first time making beans from their dried form, so, if you're in the same boat, don't underestimate how much the beans expand when soaked. I made too much because of that mistake!
